Ian Schofield has specialised in treating dancers since 1987 where he has practiced at the Pineapple Studios in Covent Garden, London.

There is a wide range of dance taught at Pineapple Studios including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, street, and ballroom to name just a few.  As a result, Ian comes into regular contact with conditions associated with the different forms of dance.

Ian explains a bit more about his work,
'Dancers are often susceptible to injury.  My role as a professional is to diagnose the tissue causing pain, understand why the tissue is in trouble, and then devise a plan firstly to relieve symptoms and secondly to prevent the injury reoccurring.'

'I deal with both professional dancers, singers, actors and other creative performers.  'I am interested in restoring balance in the function of the performer's body.'

'Pineapple also has a lot of people who dance as a hobby and these people have a lot of fun.' 

'As an Osteopath I am trained in understanding all the joints and muscles of the body, and I have a detailed knowledge of anatomy.'
