Dare2Dance

Dare2Dance was launched on the 13 July 2008 as part of the Big Dance programme. The project is devised and delivered by independance and the b.supreme Festival for Women in Hip Hop, developed in partnership with PRO-ACTIVE Central, North and South and key agencies London Youth Dance, Nike, SAZ, Big Dance and the Southbank Centre.

D2D is a programme that is focused on getting young women involved in physical activity and achieves this through the medium of Hip Hop and Street dance.

Details of the 2010 Competiton have now been announced...

Saturday 10 July at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre
'The competition that is all about finding the best all-girl Hip Hop dance group in London!'
In 2009 8 groups were selected to train with top UK Hip Hop companies including Zoonation, Boy Blue, Unity and Avant Garde Dance.  All 8 groups have since continued to develop their skills and have performed across London.

Open to girl groups aged 14-22 years, groups of between 3 and 12 dancers welcome, bring a prepared routine of exactly 2 minutes.
